So, um, in light of Empire’s Top 50 Sexiest Men having a terrible dearth of Bobby… I might’ve done a thing. In no particular order.
Managed to get plenty of hair porn, and of course hands, and That Smirky Face, and even a few toothy expressions for the BDSG. ;)
Out of all the sexy Bobbys, If I have to pick a single one, I’ll take… 47. He is just delicious.
Does that mean they’ll be working together again? Papa Rumple?
I want my SGU meeting
AAAAHHHHHH! D:< If this pic is not because he is going to be on OUAT, I will be so sad. If he actually ends up being Rumple’s father, I will not be able to watch it with a straight face because I will be rolling all over the floor with fangirl giggles. I want this so much. So, so much.
Kat rewatches SGU
and gifs Rush
↳ Air, part 1
Rush Bobby is my favorite Bobby! Every SGU episode is full of sexiness and Rush feels and they make me dissolve into a puddle. I need to finish watching season 2, only so I can go back and watch it all again.
My husband is definitely in the running for Husband of the Year, All Years. Not only did he stop watching his favorite team play (read: lose terribly as usual, sorry Eagles) football so I could see them, he gladly watched and enjoyed both Journey to Neverland and Heart of the Truest Believer with me :3 We’ve watched both previous seasons together and he is really excited for what season 3 will bring. Not to mention how he gracefully ignores my crush on Robert Carlyle, how we can both appreciate Hook’s pimp attitude, and then still discuss whether Lana Parilla, Jennifer Morrison, or Sarah Bolger is hotter (I’m sure his vote is for Lana; my tastes are more Rachel Shelley and Meghan Ory).
While the episode was excellent, it is sure more exciting to watch with fewer spoilers; I’ve been reading tumblr constantly and seen every preview clip and behind the scenes picture, but he hasn’t seen anything, so all of the twists and plot points were new for him. I’m just glad I always have someone so close to share my fangirling with <3
He really does look particularly fine in this scene, and really this whole episode, which is good considering the importance of the episode. Love me some season one Gold.
I usually prefer to post ‘original’ things, even if they’re just screencaps that I took of old episodes, but this old promo pic has been my desktop wallpaper for over three months now and I am still not tired of seeing Rumple’s come-hither face. I just want to hop in his lap every time I turn my monitor on. How does Bobby make scaly green skin look so good? And that snug vest and those tight leather pants… I’ll just be over here in my corner, drooling shamelessly and giggling like a fangirl.
Once upon a time (hahahathatwasbad), this was supposed to be a more general, albeit Rumple-centric, OUaT blog. At the moment, it’s pretty much just a “How much do I love Robert Carlyle?” blog. #imokaywiththis
In case people weren’t aware…
The kindle version of Bobby’s next project ‘The Long Midnight of Barney Thomson’ (he talked about it at the Edinburgh International Film Festival) is available for free on Amazon.
Not sure if it’s on all Amazon stores or just the UK one though.
Wheeee, exciting! Thanks for the heads up. It’s totally free on US Amazon, too.
Judging by my icon of choice, it might shock you all to find that this is one of my absolute favorite Gold outfits. I needed some caps from Desperate Souls for a painting I’m working on and couldn’t resist watching all of the Gold scenes and snapping away at his sexiness. There aren’t a lot of men who can rock the pink like they were born to it, but Robert Carlyle is one of them. And that floofy hair! He looked pretty amazing all around in this episode, even as Spinner and Dark One Rumples. Enjoy some late night pink shirt pic spam.
Computers are all set up at our new house, internet is finally back, and California Solo has at last come to Netflix! (Why it took them so long I have no idea… It’s exactly the kind of movie they love to have on the Streaming service) Since FFXIV is doing maintenance all night, guess what I get to do instead? :D Time to watch Bobby be a hot old Scotsman, in HD.
I only took a few pictures the first three times when I rented it, but now I can take tons! As if my hard drive were not already full of Bobby pics~ One can never have too many.
We always talk about who our favorite character of his is, or which ones we’d like to marry or have sex with, but we never talk about which one’s our least favorite. So yeah, Hitler and Sergei aside (unless those really are the only two you hate), which one do you like least?
Me, personally, I…
I made a spreadsheet out of Bobby’s imdb page to make sure I watch them all eventually. I’m up to 20 roles seen so far, and the one I like least is Renard. I have yet to brave Hitler, and I’m sadly missing two of the most easy and obvious films (Begbie and Gaz), but I have seen Albie and Sergei, and I still like Renard less. Maybe it’s just the flat Bond villain being lost in a huge action flick that rubs me the wrong way. It’s not like he’s short on roles depicting terrible men, but the way he plays them helps make up for it and makes them more human and interesting and even relatable, I even liked Nosty more than Renard, and he (despite his sad circumstances) is a nasty, psychotic thug.
I have a problem with finishing things. The way I see it, a thing left unfinished never ends. This is especially true in the case of a book, movie, show, or game. When you love something, it’s a battle between the overwhelming desire to see all of it and the need to always exist in that perpetual state of possibility. I still haven’t finished the second season of SGU, no matter how giddy I get at the mere thought of watching it. I almost want to just start it over from the beginning. Without fail, 90% of people will say there is a point at which the show sucks; I am just not seeing it. It doesn’t help that nobody agrees on just where that point occurs. My brother maintains that it sucks at the end of season 2, and I have (very slowly) watched every episode get better and better and keep waiting for it to happen. I hope it doesn’t. So far, everyone is wrong. Rush is amazing and I love this show so much it hurts ;_;
None of these are my pics, just stuff from my SGU folder without ‘tumblr’ in the name, which means I stole them from rest of the internet instead.

Account of the In Person conversation with Robert Carlyle at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2013
After I posted all those pictures of the In Person conversation with Robert Carlyle at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on my Tumblr blog Treeeestar asked me to…
Very nice, thanks for this! I’ve been hoping to read a different account, since not everyone will remember the same things the same way. Yours was very detailed and a good complement to the one you mention by Kmartloves. Shame they didn’t allow any sort of recording for such a small interview.
You’re very welcome! It’s true that the same things aren’t always remembered the same way and memories of things can get mixed up as well. I noticed that Kmartloves mentioned that Bobby had said that SGU was crap and Trainspotting needed heavy editing, while in reality he was speaking about SG1 and SGA and The Full Monty. A very understandable mix up. Like I said, I don’t remember that no sort of recording was allowed. I think that if I had put my phone on voice recording no one would have objected, but alas I was taking pictures instead…
I will admit it was the SGU bit that gave me pause; my fangirl heart refused to believe he would dismiss my favorite role so casually and I wanted to hear how he’d actually phrased it. I am inordinately fond of Rush. While I enjoyed both SG1 and SGA, compared to how Bobby likes to act and the kind of serious direction they wanted to take the franchise with SGU, I can accept most of their episodes as somewhat lackluster and more entertainment than substance.
